Contemporary Summer House by Filter Arkiteketer
This is Summer House Skatoy, a gimmicky summer cottage located in Skåtøy, an island in the Kragerø archipelago, on the Due south coast of Norway. Information technology was designed past Filter Arkiteketer. The house sits on a full surface of 1,080 square feet and it was completed in 2009.The projection didn't get-go from scratch. In that location was an already existing cottage on the site. It was originally congenital around 1940. Information technology was not in skillful shape and information technology had a lot of damage.
View in gallery The architects decided to start their new project from there. They built the summertime house on the footprint of this former cottage and it turned out to be a very skilful thought. The customer requested a summer house that would open towards the archipelago, allowing cute views and providing private outdoor areas. The main entrance of the firm is facing the public areas of the cottage.

View in gallery The size and shape of the site also dictated part of the design. As a upshot, the business firm was organized in two volumes. The first ane contains a sleeping cabin while the second one features a living and dining surface area. Both volumes create private outdoor spaces on the upper level. These areas are connected to the private outdoor infinite located on the lower level. Some other challenge was to make this a maintenance free summer firm. In order to make that possible, information technology was clad in untreated timber with dry stone walls and sedum for the roof.
